Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Proteus Trading (“Proteus,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Proteus web application, related APIs, and associated services (the “Desk”).

Blockchain networks are public by design. Wallet addresses and transaction activity you broadcast on-chain are not private and are outside our control once published.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Desk, we may process:

• Account data — email or other identifiers provided through Privy authentication, display name, preferred chain, and profile metadata you save.
• Wallet data — public addresses for embedded and linked Solana / EVM wallets, wallet client labels, and which desk you select for signing.
• Usage & telemetry — product events such as market views, quotes, swaps, LP actions, portfolio loads, and similar operational signals used to operate and improve the Desk (including admin analytics where configured).
• Technical data — IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, and diagnostic logs from our hosting providers.
• Support data — information you send when contacting us.

We do not ask for seed phrases or private keys for linked external wallets. Do not share secrets with anyone claiming to represent Proteus.

3. How we use information

• Authenticate you and sync profile / wallet inventory.
• Provide trading, market, liquidity, bridge, portfolio, and managed desk features you request.
• Route quotes and build transactions via third-party protocols.
• Secure the Desk, prevent abuse, and debug failures.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

4. Processors and third parties

The Desk relies on infrastructure and protocol partners, which may process data according to their own policies, including for example:

• Privy (authentication and embedded wallets)
• Supabase (profile and activity storage, where configured)
• Helius and other RPC / indexing providers
• Jupiter, LiFi, DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, and similar market or routing APIs
• Hosting, CDN, and analytics vendors for the application

When you connect an external wallet, that wallet provider’s privacy terms also apply.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies/local storage for session continuity, chain preference, and active wallet selection. We do not sell personal information. If we add optional analytics cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, seek consent.

6. Retention

Account and wallet records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, dispute, and legal obligations. Telemetry may be aggregated or deleted on a rolling schedule. On-chain data persists indefinitely on public ledgers.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to a web trading desk (TLS, access controls, least-privilege server keys). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for securing devices, wallet approvals, and export of embedded wallet material.

8. Your choices

• Update display name and preferred chain in Profile.
• Link or unlink external wallets.
• Export or discontinue use of embedded wallets via Privy flows.
• Request account deletion by contacting the operator for your deployment (subject to legal retention needs).

9. International users

The Desk may be hosted and operated in the United States or other jurisdictions. If you access it from elsewhere, you consent to transfer and processing in those locations as needed to provide the service.

10. Children

The Desk is not directed to individuals under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy where permitted by law.
